1. Modern Day Monologue
This first video is a monologue performed by a person using only a
screen and microphone as props. It is very school-of-the-arts, very
modern, very stark, very evocative, and very good. She uses facial
expression and vocal tone to capture the energy and excitement that
the Woman herself must have felt upon meeting Jesus. She is amazed
to be seen by a man for whom she really is.
2. Scripture Version
The second video is a more traditional version which takes place at
the well. Jesus, The Woman, the townspeople, and apostles are all
portrayed. It is a visually appealing and well-acted piece which
uses actual Scripture as dialogue. The actor portraying The Woman
brings out a nuance in tone that is very believable. The actor
portraying Jesus really holds your attention. The woman was
mesmerized by him and so was I. This version threw me back in time
and made the story come to life.
