On Sunday, May 30th approximately
ten community members worked
tirelessly for 3+ hours gardening
the front entrance area.
•
The members planted annual flowers
and a few perennial varieties.
•
A knock-out rose bush was planted
directly out front and several red
rose bushes were planted in the
center. We may not see red roses
this year (perhaps August if we're
lucky) but it should look nice for
next summer.
•
We also planted 5 zebra grasses and
mulched the whole strip. One very
generous member financed the
majority of this project and we were
lucky enough to get some
additional donations from other
generous members.
•
If members are still interested in
donating to the project, please drop
an envelope in the clubhouse drop
box clearly labeled "gardening
project" and this cash will be used
to purchase additional plants (we
had hoped to get more zebra grass
and other perennials).
•
This was a wonderful community
project that has happily received a
lot of positive feedback. While the
center could still use more work,
this is a vast improvement and it
was 100% paid for and worked on by
enthusiastic community volunteers.
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone
involved!!
